I know that I never stroll along the traditional circuits of a city and this allows me to come across some precious places, valued by local administrations and with a more substantial dignity than their own popularity.
“Las Atarazanas del Grao” space, a fantastic container, large, frees the mind, opens up to a vision. Hospitable.
The exhibition is interesting. The curator's goal is to collect the kind of works that transform an industrial or post-industrial environment into more humane, more beautiful environments.
You can keep the charm of industrial recovery and reconcile it with the present. Very valid pictorial and sculptural operations.
At some point comes the Interference that I love…Rafa De Corral.
The perception of almost industrial, geometric, uninhabited, surreal environments, suspended between light and shadow. No presence is tangible, there is not a heartbeat not even a soul or maybe yes, that of the user. However, a Platonic atmosphere, a Hyperuranium, is imprisoned in the world of ideas.
Beyond the twilight towards the light, but only beyond there will be something.
I expect it.
So the eyes keep looking, trying to trace the shadows, the volumes to get to life.
Here it is suspended.
From here it is not known. One can only think. These are the forms of Rafa's thought, beyond the colors, an atmosphere that is no longer industrial but only surreal.
There is a vanishing point, the way out is within. I am the key to myself… I look away, I leave the world of ideas, I am under the warehouses, the light of Valencia.
