Shooting contests

Giuseppe Lorenzo Di Fede in artRIVA GLDFhe has been working for about 20 years on the theme of the meaning of memory through a process of decomposition of emotions into childhood objects (toy cars) which, when assembled, make up images linked to his memory and which become collective memory.

In his new project the artist aims to broaden the scale of his works by substituting the human figure for objects - attempting to simulate a pile-up of bodies as if they were debris or rubble left by the cargo of a truck. An evolution of the photographic project where the toy cars simulated liquefied materials or matter that the eyes of the inattentive spectator had to misunderstand in order to start the game of art.

For the realization of this photographic work, we are looking for 40 adults who are representative of the various aspects of the human. In the artist's idea, the group must include different phenotypes exemplifying the variety in the genetic heritage that makes us more real.

Some will pose simulating being asleep, others in a checkerboard pattern in an attempt to simulate abstract art. Some may require more athletic gestures but within the limits of possible, such as simulating a clock with the body using the arms as hands.

The shooting will be personally directed by the artist who will guide the participants not only in the creation of the work but through his own poetics with a broad introduction. Anyone interested in learning more about it in advance can refer to the official website:www.rivagldf.com

The shooting will take place on the dayDecember 15th 2022in Via Privata Sbodio 30E - Milan Lambrate.

The duration of the shooting will be approximately 3 hours. It is required to arrive by 5.30 pm in order to have a brief alignment with the artist regarding his artistic direction which is understood to be open to suggestions and exchanges from the performers themselves.

Each participant will be required to sign a privacy release regarding the use and dissemination of the images that will be taken in artistic contexts such as exhibitions of works of art in public (events, biennials, exhibitions…) and private (collections , foundations, collections, etc.).

The artist's hope is that the experience of the participatory realization of the work is lived in a constructive, respectful and above all stimulating way from both an internal and a "social" point of view because it turns out to be a collective operation where the strength of image is more collective than individual.

If interested, we kindly ask you to sign your voluntary application by filling in theformattaching full-length photos injpeg format.

The artist's staff will be happy to contact the selected volunteers with more details.
